Say Hello to the new Nexus 4 Wireless Charging Pad!

Are you tired of your phone dying out while travelling or in the middle of something important ? Well, if you are, then there is a sigh of relief for you and me. It looks like the Nexus 4 is going to support wireless charging.

We, at TheTechPanda had heard rumours suggesting this, but now leaked images by PhoneArena (see above) pretty much confirm all the speculations. The Nexus 4 Charging Pad had to be announced today in tandem with the Nexus 7 refresh, the Nexus 10 and the LG Nexus 4 at the Google event which was earlier confirmed on rain or shine. However, it was cancelled this morning due to the Sandy Hurricane.

We have no idea what this accessory will cost or if the Nexus 4 will require a different battery cover to take advantage of it. All we know is that the orb-like design and the tilted angle of the charging pad is as classy as it can get. Also, we bet that it will be sold as an optional accessory with the phone, rather than with the packaging.

All we can do is wait for a further announcement by Google and till then, keep our fingers crossed for more such accessories in the future.
